All Biko jewellery is hand-made to order. Your order will be filled as quickly as possible. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of most goods within North America, and 2-4 weeks for overseas orders. Depending on the piece, your jewellery will be packaged in either a branded box or branded pouch. Both are perfect for gift giving! If you would like a gift receipt please write ‘gift receipt’ in the ‘comments’ field at checkout.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), and all transactions are run securely through PayPal. You will receive a confirmation of your order via email with the total dollar amount (including any applicable taxes and shipping & handling).
All prices are listed and charged in Canadian dollars. If applicable, the exact exchange rate you will pay is determined by the bank that has issued your credit card. Canadian customers will pay HST according to their provincial rate. American and international customers are responsible for all taxes and import duties levied by their respective countries.
RETURNS & REPAIRS
Your satisfaction is very important. All jewellery is created with care by hand. If for some reason you are not fully satisfied, please follow the following instructions. Any purchases made online must be returned directly to Biko Inc. and not to any retail stores. We are unable to accept any returns for items bought in a retail store. We will accept returns postmarked within 14 days of receiving shipment for credit only, less shipping costs. We do not accept returns after 14 days. All sales are final on customized and discounted items.

For your protection, please use a well-padded box or envelope and a traceable carrier. We cannot be responsible for items that are lost or damaged during return shipping. All costs related to return shipping are paid by the customer.
ABOUT THE METALS
Biko jewellery is made from several different metals, which include but are not limited to brass, stainless steel, plated 14k & 24k gold, and plated sterling silver. These metals are nickel-free and hypo-allergenic for most people, unless you have an extreme allergy and can only wear solid gold. As a general rule of thumb, avoid wearing your jewellery in the shower, when sleeping and when exercising. Depending on your skin’s makeup, brass jewellery may either brighten or acquire a darker, antique patina with repeated wear. While we love the way this looks, you may not. To restore to a brand-new shiny luster, use a commercial brass cleaner like “Brasso”, which is available at many hardware stores. Or you can use toothpaste and an old toothbrush, which will often work. Another old-fashioned trick is to cover the brass with ketchup, wait a few minutes, and then rinse it off. The acid and sugar in the ketchup work to de-tarnish the metal. Just make sure that upon rinsing your brass with water, you dry the piece well to avoid any moisture that can work to tarnish the metal all over again.
